Waves of sandstone and rock

By ColleenA
While on the Murray river cruise we visited and Aboriginal site where we were allowed to walk on a guided tour up the red cliffs...220 steps to the top. Thousands of years of history on these cliffs including fossilised shells and rock paintings dating back 8,000 years. Also a few shadows for today.
A big upload showing you views and fossils and rock paintings.
Many thanks for your votes comments and user awards all much appreciated

A great geological/history lesson by photo, Colleen. When I was. 14 year old schoolboy, we had a visiting Australian teacher who took our class for geography. The lessons took the form of hundreds upon hundreds of fantastic colour slides of you beautiful country.

How fortunate you are to have had this experience. The rock art alone would make it worth the trip. It is so very beautiful, and easily recognized. v6,7&8 are fantastic. I hope you took more.
