Grooming Day

By Jocelia
These were taken on a morning walk along the beach on Rottnest Island.
It was a delight to be able to get so close without disturbing her.
V1 Across the bay with Perth in the hazy distance on the rim of the horizon.
V2 With a closer look at the crafts and boats in the bay.
V3 With a Cat in the right hand corner.
Thanks to all that looked in on my silly Sunday cow models with the comments and votes.
Do have a great start to the week everyone…

Stunning images Jocelia - although it's great to see full picture,
just this bird (can't remember what they're called!) would be wonderful on it's own.

Excellent grooming photos Jocelia !! It must be quite a mission to try and reach all the spots with that long unbending beak Smile
Pelicans are the most unusual looking birds......and wonderful to photograph. I like V2 for the bird, and V3 for the juxtaposition of the pelican and the trimaran. Great photos all, Jocelia.

Amazes me how such a big bird can preen its feathers so delicately - excellent detail. Three first class shots.

Three beautiful photographs Jocelia. It is interesting to note that you have positioned the Pelican in the immediate foreground of the photograph which in turn has allowed you to capture as much of the surrounding scene as possible.
