Snap.......we are on the same wavelength today, Kate: and a perfect specimen, so well captured here.
We have been most fortunate this year in that there have been a plethora of fungi in Pollok Country Park but you do have to plotter through the forest floor to find some.
Very well done with one, captured on the bend as it were.

A really lovely capture.
We have had the rain and now sunshine ... but it could change down here in Cornwall!
Nice capture. I never seem to find anything interesting like that when I get out around here.

Super Autumnal shot with great light and detail.

Since we are all comparing weather, it is still hot and sunny here, so I had to improvise an outdoor kitchen for my chutney making today - far too hot to do it indoors.

The fungi really stands out against the greens and it looks like it is glowing. I like fungi images to try and incorporate their environment, this one does that making a superb image. Very well done indeed!GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

An exceedingly fine specimen which you have photographed so expertly. I went looking for fungi myself in a local wood on Friday morning, I too did not find as many as i have done in previous years, unfortunately the ancient beech tree which normally has numerous different species growing on it was fenced off as it posed a risk to peoples health as it is in grave danger of falling, if we get the predicted storms tonight it may no longer be still standing when i next visit the site!Sad
