There seems to be feral cats in all countries along the Med. Don't think I would be inclined to pick one up. Good selection you've shown here Colleen.

Those places would probably be over run with vermin without the cats.
Well portrayed here, Colleen.

Nice captures Colleen, as Peter said, they can be found everywhere in the Med. They seem to do
alright for themselves, some places even encourage them to help keep the mice and rat populations down.
Love V4 and V5 is cute.

All appealing images until we see the truth in V6!
V1 is a beautifully composed image. V4 makes me want to give him/her a home.
I love the ginger in V5.

Aw, really sad. Such beautiful cats should have lovely homes, not be living on rubbish. Sad

It's a case of survival of the fittest. In Malta there were food banks where people could leave tins of food to help feed them. Can't help feeling though that if the Toms were neutered it would go a long way to solving the problem. Some of them are so pretty it makes you want to take them home!. Grin

Even to be a cat you have to be lucky... I see I'll have to take the case full of cat food when I go there...
Well shot and a sad reportage... Mind you I did see the same scenario in Rhodes town...

1. Excellent cat set of pictures
2. Even in bad statement, love all the cats in your set
3. Cats have a special place in Islam - due to the love of the Prophet Muhammad to his own cat Muezza; more info in Wikipedia , so in al islamic countries cats are very welcomed, and can be seen everywhere; but they are not pets at home, nobody has cats at home, so they live in urban areas in a sort of wildness.
4. A little curiosity: in Arab language "cat" is translated: "cat" just like in English, with the same pronouncement sometimes "gat"
