Rusty relics of war

By ColleenA
Good morning from a sunny Cape Town...
A big thank you to Jukka for his UA for my image yesterday and to everyone of you for your votes and comments.

Todays image is rather time to reflect on the ravages of war. I visited The War Memorial on the Salford quays in Manchester with Angela. They do not cover a specific war but cover past and present wars. The lead image today is a rusty part of the Twin towers in New York followed by a few of a car that was bombed in Iraq.
The building is interesting and a work of art in itself, have nice abstracts I will upload at a later stage.
have a nice Friday...its a Public holiday here...Woman's day...hopefully I get coffee in bed but its not looking promisingGrin

The 4th Ashes test starts today...my hubby wondering if the weather will save England again from a potential lossGrinGrin
An update after last ball of the day....England cricketers had a bad day at the officeSad

A public holiday in honour of women? That's wonderful. My fingers crossed for your coffee in bed. Nice buttered croissants would be nice too.

These relics are to educate us about the futility of war, who really wins in the end? While I appreciate that some good has come from some conflicts; if it was the Politicians who had to stand in a field and fight rather than the youth of a nation, wars would have ceased long since.

A great set of, as Herman, put it thought provoking images.
