The art of flying

By ColleenA
Good morGrinning....back home after a GrinGringreat few days at the Game lodge.
Thank you for your votes and comments over this time and apologies for my lack of voting due to a very slow internet connection at the Lodge.
We came across a kill that had been left by the two male lions lying in long grass. There were abot a dozen vultures already eating and lots more circling in the sky....this is one of them coming in to land.
Have a nice day

Good morning from a very windy Swellendam Colleen !! it is so good to have you back on early Smile I think this is an excellent capture of this vulture. Have a great day !!
Two great images of a really ugly bird that plays such an important role in our ecosystem. V1is an an amazing image, Colleen.

Magic captures with V1 with those feet ready to pounce for my choice. Well done Colleen.

For your question where I took my last one is the Inlet at Mandurah Western Australia.

V1 superb image and very well captured, V2 well captured but I can see some chroma noise in the dark plumage on my monitor, may be worth trying a noise reduction filter but you may have avoided this so as not to loose detail. Both convey a sense of the size and power of these amazing birds.

Most of the vultures round our way have no wings but rather long legs and walk upright.................GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

V1 for me - I might be a bit wierd, but I love vultures, I think they are just beautiful, even if some of the places they dine are questionable!
