Good morning,
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments and votes on my upload of Hermanus yesterday, I am so glad you are finding my beautiful country interesting.
Another big thank you to Sue (Sue118), Jukka (Kuvailija) and Kathryn (Kathrynloise) for their UA's....so valued.

Something completely different from me today....
As it was the Annual whale watchers carnival this weekend there were hundreds of people out on the clifftops looking out for whales with binnoculars and camera's. This image turned out to be one of my favourites as the sun had just come up and he was silhouetted against the bright light. I took quite a few different exposures until I was satisfied with the effect. My other versions are of more whale watchers from the previous afternoon.
V8.....There was one couple who were only interested in each other, all the wild flowers are out in the Cape at present, they are surrounded by them ....GrinGrinGrin
Have a great day

A fascinating series from which V1 is the outstanding one for me.

Avery beautiful set of pictures v2 and v6 are outstanding ones.

A wonderful set Colleen. V1 my favourite, brilliant image, love the lighting GrinGrin

V.1 is magical, Colleen, a fine set of images. It looks cold, though, how lively to see all the wild flowers in bloom. Carol

V1is a great shot Colleen, great atmosphere and enough left in the shade to make the mind wotprk harder. Nice shot great picture. Smile

General comment to all readers: why does the rule of one photo a day always get broke. I know we all have lots of fantastic shot to show the world! But why break the rule! No insult or bad feeling intended. Just my viewSmile

Why use my upload to voice your displeasure, rather send us rule breakers a pm....would you rather me spend a year on the same subject....boring...
My suggestion...just look at V1 and move on...better for your blood pressure and general well being

Interesting images Colleen - I do like to see additional images - it gives us an insight into that person daily life.
V1 is superb - you got the lighting spot on. Smile

I especially like V2 but it is a great series showing a very interesting "other side"

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was one of those amazing sculptures in Britain of the men standing in the seaSmile V1 is magical Colleen - and the rest I know so well having walked those paths and looked for the perfect sighting Smile Wise advice given to Jeddahknight Smile

What an intriguing set.
Reminds me of train spotting over here.....

A great set of candids Colleen, but my vote is for V1, a excellent captureSmile

A great all round set of images Colleen, Grin I will have to be with the majority V1

Yes, I did know and now realise it was a joke in bad taste.
Won't do it again.
Teach me to post silly remarks while I'm still asleep.

No offence PeterGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Whilst the set has been wonderfully observed, captured and collated it is image one which really stand out against the crowd. A superb composition, and one which I rather admire. "Wish it were mine..."

Regards Nathan GrinGrinGrin

Love V1 and glad you showed all the Versions/ Variances, after just traveling to SA loved seeing them all.Janene: ::

Nice set but v1 is outstanding. Beautiful mood and light

It sums up all the sea means to me, watching the timeless waves, spray and light. Beautiful and well composed.

The set tells the story - if we weren't allowed to add extras the facility wouldn't be there.
It is also useful if we need affirmation about which variation please most people.
I love V1 with the silhouette and the shimmering sea.

Having a WhaleWink of a time Colleen.

for sure it has to be V1 Colleen as I'm sure you already know really nice one

V1 is a stunner Colleen, and thank you for sharing ALL your versions, as is your/our choice... GrinGrin

I like V8 Colleen for a behind the scene look at things !!
Good set.

So lovely to see your beautiful scenery Colleen and people enjoying themselves (V8!). V1 is a very beautiful image - silhouette, mist, light, sparkle on the water - you name it it's there.

Looks a lovely place to explore, Colleen, and what more could you wish for than to be by the seaside watching whales (or anything else!) swimming by Wink A great set telling a story, but V1 stands out on it's own Smile

What rule? Any ePZ member can upload as many variants as he/she likes, so what's the problem with Jeddahknight 111?

Great set of image......Grin

V1 is Excellent at least, like many members have of course already noticed . The composition and the mist, and the whole atmosphere are all fantastic. V2 is very fine too, like allthe others, but because that V1 is so superb, they do not shine as much! But all in all, Fantastic, Colleen. GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin --- Jukka.

V1 is an amazing shot - I love it. Looking forward to following you on your travels wherever you go next (in a photographic sense that is - not planning on stalking you)!!! I love the way you involve us in your life and surroundings and make our lives better for it! I'm also very much enjoying your excellent wit and sense of humour and today, the feisty side of you made me think 'way to go girl'!

Great collection they are all special in their own right,

Hi Colleen I love the tones light and colour in V1 it's a outstanding image that would be enough to please anyone. At the same time I understand the others give some background to what the photographer is seeing. V1 not only outshines the other images but a lot of today's uploads.
Regards John.

A great series of Images Colleen!! V1 is exceptional!!

Colleen I love this set verry much, and there were many people thereSmile

A lovely set & esp. V1

The whole point of having versions is to allow more than ome shot to be posted on any one day, so you have sone nothing amiss as far as I am aware.
And what a fine set documenting the watchers but there's no doubt in my mind that V 1 takes a lot of beating.......beautiful light expertly captured at thatbtime of day.

I was.
Then spent 48 hours up a tree with lions waiting to eat me.

An interesting and enjoyable set, but v1 is an outstanding image in its own right.Smile

V1 is the one that really stands out here, Colleen, as many others have already stated. A great image to experiment with in B&W...so many possibilities.

V1 is absolutely spectacular Colleen! I liked V7 and V2.
Great set, I really like the effort you put collecting, choosing and organizing the whole set.

Great set Colleen but V1 for me although I do like the couple having a whale of a time! Or has someone else said that. Cathy

V1 andV7 for me. Great set of shots.

V 7 shows the magnitude of the event.

Great set of images, Colleen. Is this this tip of Africa?

No Peter, up from the tip on the Indian ocean side.

V2, V4, and V8... Nice!
All others are great and most impressive event captured! Grin

V1 is definitely the stand out shot and the perfect choice as the lead
