Morning FolksGrinGrin
Here is My first ever RAW image...... well two, taken on totally different days, but the same subject. V1 I took on Sunday, V2 about ten days ago.
Now I cant say I have mastered this RAW farce, but I have worked out how to process the RAW file in my Canon software and then convert it to jpegGrinGrin, but not in CS2TongueSadBlush.... (Oh and just my normal lens, no diopter on these.)
...... so these two are processed with the software that came with the camera, Hope you like them.

V2 I think there was a party going on here, a crop from a bigger image, must have been at least ten flies on this one flower headTongueTongueTongue..... good job I had my hair upWinkSad

I think V 2 catches my eye the more, the head of flowers standing out more crisply against the b/g and with the iridescent colours of the visitors.

V1 is absolutely perfect Diane............... Apologies for not commenting on your previous uploads and if I have missed one or two. I was away over the weekend and then on Monday had more radioactive injections, despite the hospital telling me that there are no side effects have been ill on both occasions, so perhaps they have got it wrong.

My cooker blew up a couple of weeks ago and I have been cooking on a single ring camper stove, I am getting very inventive, but today............... Fanfare please! I have a new one arriving, or at least I hope I do. What really peeves me is the fact that the previous cooker is less than 2 years old, but apparently badly installed, however, you try proving that in order to claim compensation.

Got the new one at a pretty decent price, but it is going to cost me almost as much to have it installed, the worse thing being I am perfectly capable of installing it myself [it's electric, Daddy was a builder and taught me everything as he paid me nothing for being his gofer], but this time I am going to insist on a certificate of guarantee.

Love the Hoverfly in V1 and you have captured the iridescence on the flies in V2 beautifully.

I like them very much. I am still not brave enough to get into "raw" BUT perhaps I mean I am too lazy to make the effort to start.
