New Young Friends

Following Tezza's emailed suggestions, I have cloned out the big black area in the top right, cropped the picture into the children harder and enhanced the border.

Having looked at this on the web, I think it's some some of the impact. The little girl now has no contact point and looks as sif she's staring into the sky. What do you lot reckon?

I have left the old version in my profile for comparison.

I have to say I prefer the original. It gives the little girls pose some purpose.

It seems clear enough that the black shape is someone leaning over and her expression suggets we need to see what it is she is looking at.

I like them both but the origional suits me better

Good effort on the new pic Collin.

I like the tighter crop and the cloned out big black area. Couldn't work out that it was someone leaning over - not enough detail in my opinion so it had to go!

I know what you mean about no contact point for the little girl - both with the dark area or not. This has to be the bit that lets the picture down. Shame she's not looking at the bouquet like the young lad or at the young lad himself.

These reportage type pictures are popular at the moment and having done some weddings myself in this style, I know how hard it can be. You have to be quick!

A good effort all the same.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the original Colin, I can't understand why people could only see a black blob ! I saw the lttle girl looking up at the face, and now it looks like she is daydreaming !

Some excellent shots.

I agree that the original had a bit more meaning - it's still a lovely shot of two beautiful children, but once I knew she was looking at her Dad it was better with him in there, even if he was a black blob :o)

Zippie & Flossie - thanks for your comments, I can't disagree, think I prefer the original too, but I had to play following Tezza's comments. :o) Collin
