After college one Wednesday I was a little disappointed that we had spent yet another week without taking a photo. Got back to the car (my Mini Clubman Estate). It had rained all evening and I saw the reflection of the street light in the water drops on the car. This shot was taken at 8 seconds at f22 (300mm on Macro setting) using just the street light in the car park

just proves that photo opportunities are all around us.

I presume you used a tripod? or are you one of these super cool people who never get the shakes? Smile

Very nice close up. I am always impressed by images that reveal the wonder of the familiar. This "defamiliarises" a commonplace object to show beauty in the every-day. It also brings together nature and the manmade, which is a theme I've always liked.

Like the wordplay Grin

So well seen. Like Brian and Eric I love work that sees the little glories in the everyday ... beautifully done too, with such rich colour.

Very effective - I homed in from the thumbnail because I couldn't figure out what it was and why the title. All is wonderfully explained. My hat goes off to you for finding such a good shot out of nothing.

I know I'm biased, since I was present for the actual taking of this photo, but I honestly think it is Miniworld Magazine cover material!

You should send it in on spec mate!

I still own my first (and only) Mini, although it is sorely in need of renovation!

The use of monochrome and strong conrast really brings out such a distinctive shape.

Do you read evo magazine? Fantastic photography of all manner of cars in every issue.
