Arundel Castle

By colmar
Good Morning,

Arundel Castle and captured in wonderful sunshine on Tuesday of this week, when Mari and I were fortunate to meet with Lillian we had a great day , the castle closed until April 1st we decided on a day at the wetlands centre and what a grand time if cold ! A few images from the WWT to come , but I thought it appropriate that I start with the Castle as it dominates the skyline and is a beautiful building Smile

Arundel Castle in Arundel, West Sussex, England is a restored medieval castle. It was founded by Roger de Montgomery on Christmas Day 1067. Roger became the first to hold the earldom of Arundel by the graces of William the Conqueror. The castle was damaged in the English Civil War and then restored in the 18th and 19th centuries. From the 11th century onward, the castle has served as a hereditary stately home and has been in the family of the Duke of Norfolk for over 800 years. It is still the principal seat of the Norfolk family. It is a Grade I listed building.

Many thanks for the comment and votes on Cards, and indeed a few other images , all votes and constructive comment are gratefully received and truly appreciated. Colin and Mari
