Edinburgh Castle from the Calton

Good Morning,

Edinburgh Castle taken by Mari from the Calton Hill, you can see the scaffolding coming down after the Tattoo. Late morning and very cold.

Sorry comments and voting being erratic I am loaded with a lovely cold/flu like bug Sad

Camera hand held and yes I urge large and for window users f11 and ctrl+ ..... for mac user large and cmd+

I was at the Tattoo in august, must upload some of the shots Smile

There are some great views to be had in Embra (some say the sign that says M8 Glasgow is the best lol), this is definately one of them, and well captured

A lovely view over the town and showing the prominent position of the castle Colin.
Seems to have picked up a little haze from the distance, which gave inspiration for the mod

Wonderful perspective Colin of a historic castle. Its where my mother in law was born and brought up . Good memories for my wife Thanks. I will try and check out countryfile but having seen the 'shoots' at first hand with dogs picking up birds mortally injured by 'shotgun pellet' but still alive kind of makes it difficult for me to feel comfortable about it.
