11th February

I looked out the door numerous times last night and snow and lots of it... Mari up at 3 am for work and she braved the conditions and made it eventually to work. She took her camera with her and as per the upload for the 12th one of the many images captured from her moving train. However she could only capture these images for around thirty miles of her trip.... the snow disappeared after Maidstone, but here in East Kent it was blizzards. Roads closed, the town ( Folkestone ) covered in a lot of snow, no council gritters or ploughs ANYWHERE. The Tunnel at a standstill and Eurostar sat at Dollonds Moor.

I managed to get a few hours more sleep and then attempted to have a go at the outdoors, no chance .... drifts and overall snow meant a 4 mile walk through the snow to work, but I managed it.

Cleared loads of it and then the wind came up slush and snow turning to ice, the roads a danger to all that used them. Still little or no gritter, asked to stay on at work, no chance I was and am so tired .... non stop shovelling , the walk and the temprature took it's toll.

Still amazed that a mere thirty miles away there is nothing !

Till next time
