Folkestone Blue

By colmar
Good Morning,

A view of Folkestone Harbour in the sunshine and with beautiful blue skies above, our apologies for the lack of comment and vote, it is going to be catch up time early next week as we are so very busy, our biggest wedding to date today and so busy to get the editing and finished album for the start of next week for the client so EPZ has to unfortunately take a beack seat. v2 is simply a letterbox crop of the original image as I thought it may suit Smile

Many thanks to Astyag for the Mod on Pretty Boy ! Appreciate the time on that Smile

I urge large and for window users f11 and ctrl+ ..... for mac user large and cmd+

Many thanks for the comment and votes on Pretty Boy ! ,and indeed a few other images , all votes and positive comment that can encourage and improve are gratefully received and truly appreciated. Colin and Mari

Wondered what had happened to you! So glad you've been missing for such a good reason! V2 for me, I think. Really love all that blueness in both but like the letterbox form used in the 2nd version I find more pleasing. All the best with those wedding photos!

Personally I would have eased back a bit on the blue but it is a well seen composition. On balance I prefer No. 2.

Love the blue, and the tighter crop of v2 works best for me- the reflections have more impact there.

I've been backwards and forwards a few times. I like the depth of V1, but V2 gets rid of a lot of grot in the water. Can't decide...

What an astonishing view Colin. Oh Colin, Regarding the The pretty Boy Mod "don't mention it plz." And take your time on that wedding photography, wishing you all the best mate. Ironically yesterday I had to give a tour in Dubai to my wedding photographer (who was in charge of capturing our photo inside studio as well as outside back in 2008). Who knows maybe after 2 years you'll build up a good relation with your clients Smile Enjoy and regards to you and Mari

Super shot of the harbour, rich in detail and colour. I do prefer V 1 because of the slight ripples in the water and inclusion of the full reflection of the boat's mast. Very nice shot, Colin.
Regards, Ronnie.

Morning Colin. Another great couplet. Prefer 2 for its linear framing. Excellent colours and composition. Last time I was there 2 years ago stayed in the Grand Birstin (sp?) to catch a ferry the day after from Dover. Wonderful outlook across the harbour. Paul
