By colmar
Good Morning,

More to come from Dover soon .......

In the meantime a beautiful sunset over Loch Fyne, processed using some tutorials from epz.... I like it a lot and hope that a few of you do too. Taken from the side of the road as we headed back down into Ayrshire.

Camera hand held and yes I urge large and for window users f11 and ctrl+ ..... for mac user large and cmd+

Many thanks for the comment and votes on A Secret Door, and indeed a few other images , all votes and constructive comment are gratefully received and truly appreciated. Colin and Mari

A burnt out sun and fg is blurred from lack of light and partial exposure with poor contrast. Why didn't you take the time to use a tripod, I defy anyone to take a shot like this handheld.
I bet this will do well when the clickclub get back from Church. Come on Colin you can do better than this holiday snap

Richard your getting boring with the snap thing the fg is not blurred the exposure was stepped down deliberately and the contrast and other levels changed in photoshop and lightroom. So I do not take the critique this is what I was looking for. I also take offence at the "click club" .... I ask that in future you keep your critique for others and pass mine by ! No this is not because I cannot take critique , it is simply the way you need to personalise things.

Well I like it. Yes there is a highlight because the sun is there, but I don't find it obtrusive, and the trade off is the wonderful light in the clouds, and the suns rays spilling down onto the horizon.

The whole image has lovely subdued colouring, something I'd love to be able to do well, but never seem to. If it wasn't for the fact I had to take the missus and her mum out for Sunday lunch I think I would head up to Loch Fyne right now Smile

Nice one Colin

As you can't take constructive criticism Colin. I will not say what I see then, but just compare your snaps to photo's on here and look hard. You cannot take a landscape in low light handheld and keep it pin sharp.
May the clickers keep clicking on your snaps and fooling you into believing they are brilliant.

this shot is as good as most on here and i dont see you critisise them?? this is obviously personal.... burnt out sun?...blurred...i totally disagree. The colors are fab, and this image only has to please one person, and judging by their comments, many others. the gent that is colin, clearly asked you to refrain from calling his work `snaps`, you added fuel to the fire with your second comment....well done. Another vote from me.

Colin, What a 'terrific scene' you have captured,
the golden tones great and the movement on the water is so good...
this sunset is as good as they get!
what a load of "rubbish" some people come out with, I certainly do not class myself as a clicker, well yes I suppose I must be.. as I do the click on photos that I truely like and not otherwise, as do most other people I am sure... why bother otherwise?
You and Mari keep showing off your skills on here for us to enjoy...and who won a prize this week? you!!!

PS. The best thing for everyone to do is to ignore MossyOak, comments only seem to encourage his rudeness, which is in no way 'constructve criticism' but merely a diatribe against someone he has taken a personal dislike to, he's a bore!

Fascinating insight in to other people's minds here today. Always said the school playground was the world in miniature with all the different egos s and issues in that big melting pot. Is EPZ a bit like a children'd playground ?
