Such a good capture of the elegance of roses (my favourite flowers). Good depth of field, and I like the use of light. Well done!

Excellent use of empty space in the composition, and of light. Love the colour as well. Would make a good wall poster.

I do like a nice derelict building. Smile This one might look good with a sepia and/or grunge treatment...

Looks very professional, could have been from a spa brochure. But ... they're not sweating, so not completely realistic. Smile

Hi PhoenixRed, thanks for your kind comments. I used to use a Canon EOS 20D, but due to a bad back and having to cut down on weight, I now have an Olympus OM-D MD-5, which is much smaller and lighter.

Thanks! I quite like that one myself...

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

Johny, you're better off asking this on the forum - plenty 400D users there...

Added Date: 01/11/2008 - 10:47 AM

I'll second what Terry said - you have an unbelievably low number of votes on some of your excellent images. Wonderful portfolio, I'm glad I came across it.

Hi Karen, I'm glad I found your portfolio, I see that you share my love of dog pictures (although I do shoot other things as well...). Now I'm going to have to add you to my Favourite Photographers list, I really can't resist! Wink

Added Date: 23/08/2007 - 10:58 AM

Now that I've put no less than three of your shots in my Favourite Photos, I think it's time I said something about your portfolio. Let me be brief: I love it! So many excellent shots, I have no words to describe them. Keep up the good work!

Added Date: 22/07/2007 - 5:25 PM

Hello Paul! After having several of your pictures on my Favourite Photos page, I thought it was time to let you know how wonderful I think your photos are. You take such stunning pictures, I am always in awe when I visit your portfolio. So - keep up the good work, and come up with many more of those crackers!

Added Date: 26/06/2007 - 9:38 AM

I have now seen so many absolutely brilliant shots appearing in your portfolio that I just have to make a portfolio comment. Of all the photographers on my Favourite Photographers list, you are one of the few that never disappoint with their uploads - it's one cracker after another. Wonderful, wonderful images. So - keep up the good work!

Added Date: 09/12/2005 - 12:03 AM

I just want to say that there really are no words to describe the quality of the photos in your portfolio - terms like "brilliant" and "wonderful" just don't cover it. It's one of the reasons I often just look at your photos and don't comment, because I simply don't know how to describe my awe and wonderment...

Added Date: 06/12/2005 - 5:24 AM

Its so good to see another portfolio with a lot of non-standard images of different kinds, all obviously created by someone who knows what he's doing. Very inspiring.

I think both your portfolio and you deserve some general comments, Ian. Not only have you treated us to some really nice shots, but, on a more personal note, I think of you first when I think of helpful and pleasant fellow EPZ members. Your moderating is done, well, in moderation, so to say. Wink And your comments in the gallery and the forum range from helpful and well-balanced to witty and sometimes even slightly naughty (in a good sense, though). All in all, I'd say it's good to have you around, and EPZ wouldn't be the same without you and your portfolio.

Added Date: 10/06/2006 - 1:58 AM

I've left comments on your individual photos so often, and they're all wonderful, so I thought it was time to say that I love your portfolio, I think you take wonderful photos, and hope we can keep enjoying them for a long time to come.

Added Date: 11/05/2006 - 11:00 PM

Your portfolio is a place I go to be inspired - I love good architecture shots (and an occasional flower photo), and you certainly have some excellent examples. Excellent? What am I saying? There are quite a few perfect photos in your folio. Great stuff!

Added Date: 08/12/2005 - 11:44 PM

I'm glad we can now comment on entire portfolios, for you deserve praise for yours!

You have an inspiring portfolio with photos of a creative quality I may never achieve.

But I would also like to take the opportunity to say that I feel you are part of what makes this site, because you're one of those EPZ members who are always ready to help out, make supportive comments, and put things in perspective when discussions tend to get out of hand.

May you go on doing so for a long, long time!

I love your showcase, Jim, especially the panorama at the top!
