Delightfully Dutch

By conrad
Composite of two images: one with tulips, taken at the Keukenhof show gardens on 5 May last during the Dutch Meet, and one taken yesterday at Hellouw, of the so-called "Tweede Hellouwse Wipmolen" windmill. I thought the two looked quite good together.

Oh, and I changed the blue colour of the muscari armeniacum on the left to that of the rather rare muscari ambrosiacum, so that the original blue wouldn't be a distraction.

Comments and mods welcome!

The classic image of Holland, nicely joined together too.

I think I agree with David, a bit more space on the left would have improved it for me but it works well as is. Sharp, detailed and well coloured

A shot for the Dutch Tourist Board - tulips and a windmill - you can't go wrong. Nicely done manipulation.

Thanks, guys! I'll consider doing another one with the windmill, or another windmill, more to the right.

Well manipulated Conrad. One thing which would improve this (and test your skills) would be to flip the mill so it is facing into the frame rather than out.

Ha! Ian, I wondered how long it would take people to come up with that suggestion! Since "test your skills are" are the operative words here, the idea will have to wait until after my brief holiday. Don't feel up to trying it now. Maybe when I'm well rested - and can persuade my wife to give me a hand (she knows much more about PS than I). Thanks for commenting!
