Geldermalsen Windmill

By conrad
I took this shot just before a very disappointing sunset (bland sky, no clouds, nothing spectacular in the sky). But I thought the windmill, the trees and the reflections were nice. Now lets see what you think. Honest comments and mods welcome!

I'd crop out the fg, to limit the colors palette (loose the yellow flowers) and trap the eye onto the mill

I like it, like the way the line of trees is against the pinky sky. But I do agree that perhaps cropping out the flowers in the foreground would be a good idea.

Very unusual angle, showing colour in those foreground flowers while they are in front of the reflections. A little out of focus but the rest of the composition is good. I know what you mean about bland sunsets. It is clear here most of the time so I have to wait until clouds roll by.

Thanks, Sue, Barbara and Luke!

Patrick - yes, I didn't focus on the flowers on purpose, but thought they made a nice foreground. Maybe I didn't need them after all. I'll think about it. Thanks for your comment!
