Leading The Eye

By conrad
Just a road in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands. I thought it led the eye quite nicely.

And of course the fabulous five windpumps that were built in such a neat row (five of nineteen in total, by the way), are in the picture, which is nice, with one of a different kind on the right. Six in one go - that's only possible in Kinderdijk!

Nothing major done to it, just a few very minor tweaks - almost straight from the camera.

Comments and mods welcome.

Like the lead in and the line of windmills - strikes me as a place that would make a beautiful sunset/sunrise shot

Nice shot but would like to have seen you closer to one of the mills, still worth a click.

Beautiful shot.
Once again agree with Woolybill on perspective.
In fact it also gives the imression of speed, might be fun to play and see what you get.

Fred, I may have been trying to get too many of them in one shot - but I had previously devoted quite a few shots to the five on the left, so I suppose this was just to be different for once. The others are in my Windmills album, if you're interested. But you're right, and thanks for your comment.

Robert - Funny you should say that, but when I parked my car, many of the windpumps were working, with quite a bit of wind. But the further I walked, the more the wind died down, and when I took this shot, there was hardly any wind at all. I do have some previous shots of windmills that are working, even one from France. In my Windmills Album! Thanks for your comment.

Thanks, everyone!
