Molendriegang Driemanspolder

While I'm thinking what to do with my other shots from Stavanger, here's a shot I took on Saturday in my own country.

This is one of very few rows of windmills (windpumps, actually, to be completely exact) left and conserved in the Netherlands. The most famous is situated in Kinderdijk, and this set of three is found near Leidschendam, not far from The Hague.

They were built in 1672, and their function was only taken over after the Second World War, when a motorised pump was built.

Anyway - comments and mods welcome!

Lovely composition. Think colour works well but there is a timelss feel to the shot too so have uploaded a mod which I hope you like
