So Much Nicer

I love colour, I really do. But I'm also crazy about mono infrared shots. And ever since I bought an old G2 converted for infrared, I've become convinced that IR makes what would have been a simple shot so much nicer.

Take the photo below, for instance. Take a little after noon, which I normally wouldn't consider a good time to take photos - lots of sunshine, harsh light, and as subject a tree, a shrub and a church tower. Simple enough, as photographic scenes go.

And the infrared result isn't earth-shattering either, but I think it's just so much nicer, infrared.

I'm currently keeping an eye on the Horse Chestnut trees that line the road I work in - I've an IR camera ready and waiting for the new fresh leaves Smile

Oh yes, the appearance of new leaves is going to be quite an event for everyone who takes IR shots! Smile
