On holiday I visited a place that was a bit of a cross between a museum and a zoo - if I had to choose which of the two it was, I really couldn't tell you - they had exhibits that had nothing to do with animals, films, and there were also different kinds of animals, fish and other creatures of the sea.

Anyway, in one of the aquariums I saw this rather ugly fish, close to the glass. Big boy. Now, I don't normally photograph really ugly things, but in its ugliness there was also a kind of attractiveness, if you know what I mean.

There's something rather majestic about it. I think it's fascinating, and rather prehistoric.
