Quiraing Heather

By conrad
Time for some colour.

This is just a simple shot - just the Quiraing as I saw it. No filters, no tripod, no sunrise, just the Quiraing peaks and some heather and grass in front.

I was in a hurry to catch up with the others, maybe I would otherwise have done some gardening and removed some grass. But on the other hand it does look quite natural this way.

Anyway, I hope you like it.

I can't believe nobody has commented on this. I really like the composition and low down viewpoint. In my opinion the lack of gardening adds to the 'really there' feel.

My one crit would be that the greens may be a little over saturated, but if so only a bit and it could just be monitor differences.

Actually, it looked a bit 'much' to me too after I had uploaded it. Not sure how that happens, I'm using the same monitor.

Strange. Normally images go flat on upload if you haven't converted to the correct profile.

Perhaps there are loads of comments on the groupmeet pages, but I like this shot a lot Conrad. Excellent composition and a lovely image.
Cheers, Goggz

Thanks, Pete - I'll probably re-process it, but I like the composition with that heather in front.
