Moonlit Caldy Beach by Philpot

Moonlit Caldy Beach

You had me fooled there for a moment!
I think you did really well here and the scene is beautiful.
You might need to add a lighter sky somehow from where the 'moon light' is 'coming' from as in nature that part of the sky wouldn't be so dark.
Still a good job though.

Milky Way .... it by marktc

Milky Way .... it

I've recently started taking some milky way images and uploaded one of my images for reference. I'm far from being an expert but I'll share the little wisdom I have.
I use a Samyang f/2.8 14mm. Budget solution and does not communicate with my camera, so everything manual. Smile

Image focus: I always set mine to infinity or just below.
WB: I use the Kalvin setting, set to 3700. (even though that of course can easily be adjusted in LR)
Aperture: as small a F-stop as possible, so I always have it on 2.8
ISO: tricky but somewhere between 1600 and 3200.
Exposure: never longer than 30s. That's when you begin to get star trails. Sometimes earlier.

Since you don't want star trials you'll need to play around between ISO and exposure and see how much ISO you need to get a clear result with as little exposure as possible and at the same have as little noise possible. Trial and error in this balancing act. I usually try to stay on 20s and then see how low an ISO I can get away with.

Post process I mainly use LR and Topaz DeNoise in PSE.
On my upload I made adjustments in the following areas:
Temperature, Contrast, Clarity & Whites (up), Highlights (down).

A view of Llandudno

What a grand scene!
Not sure about the processing, I'm afraid. For me it looks too artificial.

Only the lonely by Cookie_Monster

Only the lonely

Quote: You might find it worth while cropping quite a lot from the top and right side.

I appreciate the suggestion but I left the space on purpose.

Wonderful image of this intriguing place (even though your buildings to the right are making a little 'leaning tower' impression).

Lone traveller

You are usually not allowed to take pictures in the underground. Munich is particularly strict - all a matter of getting caught or not Tongue
If you use a tripod they'll hunt you down. Smile

The guardian by mrswoolybill

The guardian

Quote: It's been striking in other pictures: here, it's ghostly and haunting.

Like a funeral on a sunny summer day, the contrast is heartbreaking.

Quote: In many ways this image is not only thought evoking but extremely haunting. Great photography filled with so much underlying sadness.

Thanks for sharing Moira.

Can't add anything to those comments.
A superb image in message and execution.
