Important details from yesterday's subject.
This is the work of sculptor Brian Fell, who is using workshop space beside the Longside Gallery at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Eventually it will be installed in Kirkby, Liverpool, as part of a regeneration project.
Its journey along the M62 is going to wake a few motorists up...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

I like to see it covered with rust but not as much as Mick would, Moira.

You and yours have both posted eyes today, did you know?! This is great. I couldn't make anything of it. I did take one of the tail area, but decided it looked rude Grin

Ah I get it now, this sculpture was commissioned by Mikbee!

Can't wait for the clickers convoy, but in the mean time I will have to get my butt into gear and go to the sculpture park!

It's impressive, but what's it actually made of?

Ready-rusted steel, I assume. If you have visited YSP, Brian Fell also made the Haha Bridge, which crosses the haha in the woodland close to the Visitor Centre.

That has never deterred me...

What we are all thinking, I guess.
Cheers folks. I photographed the local Kite Festival yesterday, I am wading through the processing now. I'll get some time here later.

Great set Moira; it took me a while to figure V3 out. Fortunately the eye in V1 is less sinister than Bill's upload Smile

Think Mick would love this! Grin After seeing the mono version, it seems hard to imagine it looking like this in colour. Three cracking close-ups, Moira Smile

So interesting seeing this before and after context. Before knowing, I thought it was the eye of a dinosaur or dragon. Then found it's an elephant Smile

I just love the shot of its tootsies Grin
