Glenridding Dodd from Place Fell.

By Niknut
Nearing the summit of Place Fell, above Ulswater, we saw this amazing sight across the lake to Glenridding Dodd, & Catstycam
beyond. We were in glorious sunshine, with everywhere else under this constantly changing cloud....a beautiful sight !!

We were caught in a snowstorm at the summit trig-point, & didn't stay long, but were back in the sun after 15mins. of descent !!

I've left the figure (my wife) in the shot, to add scale & distance.......

Many thanks for the great response to 'Glen Shiel Sundown'......with special thanks to Katherine, Richard & Jason for
their valued UA's !!!!.Smile

I am sure you wife appreciates not being erased, but leaving her on the top of a cold mountain is a little below the belt Grin

You are so right, this is a stunning view and image, well worth suffering all the seasons in a matter of minutes; your wife definitely illustrates the scale of the place. To sum up, Brilliant!

The portrait format does emphasise the height but the figure (your wife) is so important to the image.

Standing in the clouds. Foreground subject is a perfect touch here. Without a person one can lose the sense of grandeur. TG
