Going Fishing

By gwynn56
or should it be trawling ? not sure on what they going out to catch , though thought this an interesting little boat as it was more rounded at the front than the usual pointed ones I'm used to seeing , and for those interested , it does appear to have a slight bit of surface rust on the side thereSmile
forgot to mention this was heading out of Whitby , though at this point ,it hadn't reached the outer harbour

Well Gwynn, you will know I am one that would be interested in the brown stuff here !!
A good sign that it is still a working boat.
A fine shot.

A lovely trawler Gwynn with those nets over the side - and a touch of rust to contrast with the blue.
A good 'catch' Gwynn.

I see that your nautical terminology is on a par with my own.......I too refer to the sharp and blunt end of boatsWinkWink.
This vessel heading out to sea makes a fine study, Gwynn, excellent colour and detail captured.

Well captured image with good colour and detail. One small compositional point for my eye ( you may disagree ), I find having part of a house at the right side of the frame draws my eye somewhat from the main subject, so I would consider cropping just to the right of the steps, it would give a little more space relatively in front of the boat to behind which also works better too. If you want to maintain the same aspect ratio, I think it could stand a touch off the top and bottom too, but I dont think that would be necessary.

Nice capture Gwynn, not a fan of central position in composition but this works with the water movement at the rear, a wider aperture would have rendered the background defocussed so as to be intrusive, I do like it.
