The corridor trains were the standard stock on the British rail network for many decades. I believe there were still some being used well into the 1980s in some areas, but I'm not a train historian, someone on here may know more details.

Colour for me too ... the warm tones of that wood is gorgeous, especially when juxtaposed against the minty green of her dress. A lovely reminder of times gone by days of yesteryear Smile

Love this image.........honestly couldn't chose between the colour and B&W....I do love the warm colour of the wood and her dress and hat though, so I suppose that would mean I'd choose the colour LOL!! Both lovely images. Smile
