Standing proud

Continuing the museum theme.

Edgar Degas' Little Dancer.
One of my favourite sculptures. I love her expression, so proud and self-assured.
Took this only for myself but then really liked how she stands out against the pictures in the back and the moving people around her.

She seems to be carefully avoiding the comings and goings below her. Unusual and rather beautiful.

I love Degas - this is a good perspective on his work.
I do think we might have been there at the same time.....i really like the sense of movement here....this is more about reportage of the people looking at the art than about the art (though we might recognize the paintings in the background). Good "street" shot.
