Haha! Well it could be and it is at the side of the frog and toad and opposite the shed! Malc did say I had serious security going on!

Thanks Wallace and for your award!

I think the blast of bright sunlight helped Pavan! Can't beat Mother Nature's illumination!

Thank you for your lovely comment.

Wonderful light and tones here, Kath, definitely barring any visitors here! You should leave the cobwebs, they add to the appeal 🕸😃👍

You’ve been in the Mines of Moria again Kath, this is a superb mono, it wouldn’t work in colour, very true 🙂I wonder if “Speak friend and enter” is written in Elvish on the other side? No awards left but so award-worthy 🏆

Dave 🙂

Excellent lay of light. I can hear the creak of hinges as it opens and see the dark passageway down into the bowels of the earth. Hopefully it's just a root cellar.

There is no doubt that the play of light has drawn emotional reactions from viewers, including me. But hands down, the textures and the way you brought out the full greyscale spectrum are the items that most impressed me.

I like the mystery with this Kath, you know what lies beyond but we, the viewers, are left to wonder!! A lovely mono image.

But is it locked? Is there a lock hidden in the shadows, or is it free for all who wish to draw the bolt back? But, and it is a big but, if they go through, will they ever be seen again? Or let out after you have had your evil way with them...Wink Please do not tell us as the imagination is far stronger than the facts...

Hello all, back from patrolling the ramparts! Thank you for your extremely kind comments and joining in the madness!

The mystery of the locked gate and what lies beyond is another padlocked wrought iron gate! The gate that featured in Guard Duty AKA Frog and Shovel! Don't think the crime rate is rising David but I am taking precautions! Nobody is getting that shovel Sandy!

You are so right Malc and John - imagination is stronger than the facts although there are more mysterious items to be unveiled... (She cackles and exits stage left...)

See what you have done Dave - I've become all Hobbity! Do you think it is safe to mention the Fairy door on the skirting board and another frog in the kitchen? No - thought not! WinkWinkWink

Thank you to Bobby, John, Peter and Paul for your lovely awards, I will message. SmileSmile

A hint of mystery built in to this excellent image, Kath.
When I first saw your title I thought:
"I hope it isn't the door to an outside loo."

Thank you Ivor, Bill and John.

John we live in a large terraced house, built circa 1906. The shed was originally an outside loo and the other half for coal! 🚽😂 We know how to live up North. Graham did some building fettling years ago and it is now just a shed or is it...!

Snap! Our semi was built the same year!

And we had the bit at the back (half coalhole, half loo) fettled into a utility room and loo WITH hand basin!
