What technique do you use for these? A automated drip system or trial and error? Trigger system for the camera or again trial and error? Just being nosey Smile

Hi , cattyal I use a solenoid valve on a timer to control regular drips , I take the photo in the dark with camera set to bulb mode , when the flash goes off exposure is made .

Thanks Chris - so I guess your flash is triggered remotely by something like the Triggersmart system as well? I guess knowing the rate of drops it would be a matter of trial and error to get the position of the triggering system to achieve a fairly consistent rate of collision captures?

I don't plan to go down the proper drip system - well not yet - I'm happy experimenting/playing and will be trying different additives to the water for the time being. It won't be long before I shift back to my still life or mask pics but as all the stuff is still out I'll be messing about - or making a mess - again this evening Smile

This has to be one of your best so far Chris, even to get decent colour from the bubbles is difficult, let alone the collision with tall tendrils ............ way to go! Smile
