  • Reach for the sky

Love the detail and light in this image. The angle of composition and the reflection of the clouds is stunning.

  • Lux lucet in tenebris

    Quite simply a stunnning capture!!

  • Leaf

Striking image!! The almost maze like effect of the interlocking veins makes it hard to focus on a single point and your eyes dart across the image. It isn't until you fix your eye on the larger "veins" that you are given a focal point and lines that guide you through the picture. A peculiar and fascinating effect, whether intentional or not.

  • Arctic Tern in flight

Excellent capture, I particularly like the point of angle, something that you don't normally see.

  • Sticks & Stones

Excellent shot! I like the three lead in lines of the fence, rocks and path leading your eye through the shot to the hills in the background and that atmospheric sky!

  • Who gives a dam!

Excellent shot! There is so many points of interest that catches your eye. From the force of the water, the flooded trees, to the swirl of the clouds. I particularly like the diagonal lines within the composition that criss cross the pic, from the background to the foreground, with the water flowing through the centre.

  • Common blue

    Nice detail and colour.
    Good shot.

  • Sunset

I like the composition of the shot, with the sun shining through the gap in the ornament. The warm orange tone gives a nice feel to the pic also.
    Nice shot.

  • Now For Something Completely Different......

I really like this image, the composition and cropping of the flower, the depth of colour and the level of detail. I particularly like the textured effect of the whole image and the choice of background. A striking image!

  • the pier

Excellent shot, I particularly like the symmetry of the pier with the 90o horizontal line at the end of the pier. The ice like smoothness of the water is also appealing.

  • Lonely Old Tree

Very striking image, from the atmospheric clouds to the jagged angles of the tree's branches. I like the choice of placement of the tree in the composition. The foreground sweeps your eye to the tree, which almost "points" to the brooding clouds beyond.
    Good work,

  • Aberdeen Harbour 2

A very well composed shot, I particularly like the foreground detail, and how the line from the chain leads your eye to the left background structures, which in turn draws your eye to the buildings on the right of the picture.
    Good work,
