Interesting to see how focussed he is on the ball. Sadly that's not something I can say about this photograph.
I'm trying to see if you've focussed on the wrong area but, frankly, I can't find any point of focus in the image.

you got a great action shot with such crisp and clear great shot
It's a great action shot, but the players and ball have moved a bit since you focussed - were you in single shot or AI-Servo mode? The AI-Servo mode seems to work better for sports photos I think as it tracks the focal point, and you get lots more shots to choose from in the end 
I thought, at first, that the guy in red was Peter Crouch. Well taken
