Whit a belter of Glasgow's iconic statue!

    Brilliant shot from every aspect.

    Many thanks Isabel.
Unfortunately I don't have a digital editing facility at the moment so I should have paid more attention when setting up the shot. I'll perhaps have a word with some of my chums with the appropriate software in the future to sort out any horizon problems.
Glad you liked the image, it really is a very scenic part of Scotland.

    Cheers,Ian,

  • The Vaults nude

Lovely light, the image is very much in the style of Sir Russell Flint watercolours.

    Well posed and captured.

Hi Tom, your main problem (as you probably know already) is caused by the extremes - bright light and deep shadow, I don't think filters will help. Exposing for skin tones will darken the already shadowy areas and brightening the shadows will burn out the lighter areas. Getting the exposure right is the key and I would suggest that you might want to experiment more with this aspect. Try different exposure modes etc. Hope this may be helpful. Best of luck!
