    Willie,

Thanks for the good hints and I like your mods.

I left the strap in , because all of the cars were pre-rigged with tow straps to quicken their movement on and off of the stage.

They had special golf cart type tow vehicles constantly shuttling cars , so there was never any hint of gas engine exhaust in the arena.

The Packard sold for $210,000 USD. I think it was a bargain.

  • These little girls are learning soccer skills from the coaching staff of the University. Perhaps they will be future World Cup Players?

Thank you all for the very kind and informative comments. I apologize for being so tardy responding . I really learn so much from you and I am very grateful. Warm Regards to all, Jack

  • fast driving topdown in the country, what fun! 2000 MB CLK -430 16 years old and still going strong!

Many thanks for the comments Folks. Ms. Moira the car was not stationary, but doing about 50 mph at the time. I had the road all to myself and felt reasonably safe with my mild distraction, Wee Blackie -the car- and I are joined at the hip so there was no danger of a wreck. I don`t believe a NC Highway Patrolman would have even looked twice at me for taking the photo. One day I`ll ask one just to make sure.
