Hi David, I would not choose between the two images as they are both action shots in there own right 1 with the food and 2 with the movement. Both are perfectly exposed and perfectly composed. The presentation is awesome...John

David I am talking with my Judges head on! The detail on the Chaffinch is exceptional as is the composition, the problem I have with it is the Fungi. It is also very sharp and is competing with the main subject for attention, your eye is being drawn off the bird to the sharp lightness of the Fungi, not sure how you are with processing? If a slight blur could be added to the fungi or darken it, then the bird would be more prominent, on V2 that is my favourite the fungi is not large in the frame and wing movement focuses the attention on the bird, only my humble opinion and others will disagree.
