The star trail effect was the result of several hours of 20 second exposures all fused into one image so that the trailing phenomenon is revealed. It did take weeks to adjust and properly process the image from all raw captures. Although I love the newly acquired star trail technique, it is a nightmare to bring to final approval. Maybe it will get easier? So far not.

That was part of the processing... not only airplanes, but some satellites as well had to meticulously be removed while star trails left in place.
