Whale Shark

By Crashingocean
I just had to share this with everyone. I took it with a basic camera in a waterproof case while swimming literally 3 meters away from these magnificent creatures in Ningaloo reef S.W. Australia. This has got to be the most amazing experiences I have ever had. There were three of them, this one was about 7 meters long and all the little fish round it were giving it a good clean. Absolutely awesome. I was just buzzing.
Thanks for looking and I would appreciate your comments.
Karen

I can't imagine being that close to something so big, don't think I'd manage to take the shot!! Amazing experience I'm sure. Great capture.

Excellent capture - I've got an agreement with sharks; I keep out of the ocean, and they keep out of my bath.............Bill

Magic shot. The split between the surface and underneath works nicely.

Wow, surely one of your best shots, Karen, and an experience of a lifetime. I love the inclusion of the surface, the light on the shark, the little "cleaner" fish and those wonderful markings. Superb.
