Image for possible inclusion in my NCFE Level 2 portfolio. Documentary theme on impromptu memorials.

Mother of three, Julie Harford was killed as she walked across a zebra crossing in King Harolds Way, Bexleyheath. She was struck by a young man driving his white Vauxhall works van just before 7am on November 24 2005.

A sensitive image expressing a tragic theme. The inclusion of the van - clearly moving fast - is well handled, and I like the slight distortion afforded by the cellophane. Your intro/explanation is important as the relevance of title to image is not immediately obvious.
I might possibly have considered cropping the left of the image slightly to remove the indistinct figure in red.

Very good, Jan, including the crossing and especially the moving white van is clever. I think a small crop to the left would bring the relevant elements closer together, and I wonder if you can enhance the message on the heart so that it's readable?

Hi, thanks for all your comments. I am trying to keep all images the same size for coherence in my pf and that makes cropping some of the elements, difficult but agree that a tighter crop would possibly improve the shot. In a larger higher res image the message is a bit clearer as well, tho I guess a little dodge and burn or similar might bring it out more :o)
