excellent! I have a whole series of photos like this. I always feel compelled to make similar pictures, every time I'm in a high up place. Gives a great sense of place and scale.

not sure if your not close enough, or not far enough away. for such an emotional subject, its a photo lacking in emotion.

Its a family member looking on. perhaps your caption should reflect that?

from the DOF it looks like a substantial crop. maybe the uncropped wider view would offer some connection to the beauty of the place, and provide a contrast with the horror of what took place there all those years ago.

For the family, its sad, but at the same time positive in that it may bring some closure at last.

    Chris.

I like the pose and the mood of the shot, but i think its a shame the background branch cuts through the model.

aye, but not in reviews, unless you had actually compared them.

Otherwise how can we trust in anything else you say in a review? if, as you say, you make assumptions.

of course not! Perhaps you should just refrain from making statements about equipment that you havent actually used or compared.

if online reviews are anything to go by? you never used PW's then?

what a ridiculous statement on a quality website. Sometimes the reviews here, really are pants. Sad

Quote:I'm surprised with the portrait shots. It was a bright day when I took them and set the white balance to the sunshine setting.

the pic your talking about doesnt seem to have any of the sort of harsh shadows, that you would normally associate with bright sun? Was your subject in the shade? and if she was, why did you choose a daylight setting?? of course it would be blue.......
