Snowtography No.6

By CSuk
The last photo i'm putting up of my Snowtography series (what do you mean thank goodness? Smile ). This is Blackfriars Abbey, a 13th Century Abbey in the centre of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. It was taken whilst I was there to visit a friend of mine who has a business there (you have to be a craftsperson to have a working business within the gounds; due to old laws).

What a lovely shot. What can I say? Nothing else -- the picture says it all.

looks wonderful and seasonal, I just want a choir to sing a carol as the scene is set...

Hey this brings back some wonderful memories! We toured what's now the restaurant during the excavations in the 1970s; subsequently as a café it accommodated us and friends every Saturday morning for something like 25 years. Did the best cheese scones in Newcastle. In summer we used to sit outside under that tree and put the world to rights. Then the café business went bust and we had to make alternative arrangements...
When one of our regular group died I did a drawing of this scene to accompany his funeral wreath.
Wish I could vote more than once.

Nice shot! I personally would correct the WB to see the snow white and leave the rest as it is. Having said that, it is a personal choice. link
