Like all wildlife/nature experiences we should revel in the moment and realise that to capture it on camera is a bonus. Witnessing such a magnificient creature at such close quarters is a privilege.

A discussion with another person last week prompted the question is this sort of shot from such a location an aspiration or an expectation? For me it is an aspiration, but perhaps I have honed my technique enough that I expect myself to capture it.

However, the point was not about personal expectation of ability to succeed, but rather that failure to capture such a shot would be the fault of others, e.g. say a tour operator. Interesting discussion. No real conclusions.

There cant be many more fish left in there Cheryl. Great timing and title, It really is an explosion and so well frozen at the all important moment. Sums up photography in one. Remembering that moment in time
