Lots of character due to the eye contact & that it appears he is peeking out at the viewer. A great great grey image.

This was not the intended shot at this location, but I'd done a similar one before (and indeed after at another tree) and I think it works better on this one

Thanks all, that is indeed the idea Patrick you would never really come across them in the open.

Most shots you see of them in the open hunting in snow are to baited sites.
