Great Spotted Woodpecker

By csurry
Another from this week in Scotland.

Have four trips planned for the next few days, although plans scuppered a little by one of the friends I was to share the cottage with dislocating and fracturing his shoulder - ouch! So it will be a week of lone photography.

Never mind, plenty to do.

Thanks for the comments on the two red squirrel shots, took another couple of hundred this morning, so there will be more to come Wink

Thanks all

Thanks Luke for the GEA

Thanks Brian, thought I get this uploaded before Lee gets home Wink

He's been off for ptarmigan again today. Not seen what he got on Tuesday from Cairngorm, but the boulder field is no good for me with a dodgy achilles, so I had to give that a miss. Shame as I would love to go up there, but you have to know when something is not a good idea.

Just chilling tonight and just about got a signal to view the internet, but it comes and goes. Took four attempts just to upload the shot!

My third return to this one Cheryl

Maybe the light, or the open space, but it is one hell of a GSW shot

One we should all aspire to, NBS eitherSmile

Thanks all.

As usual have quite a few of these chaps and chapesses! Today has been squirrels (oh no not again I hear the cry) and crested tits. Light was perfect apart from about one and a half hours when the sun came out! Doh! Had to wait for it to move around and off the background as the perch was in shadow.
