Thanks Brian and Steve.

No cresties worth posting. Did get some, but they landed on a large branch which rather dominated them rather than the thinner branch that was intended for them. Probably still have some left from last year that have never been posted.

I am going to be brave and go out on a limb here Cheryl. Probably due to the presence of the snow and bright conditions this Woody appears to bright and the red crown too vivid and unnatural. The whites appear blown. I keep comparing to mine which was shaded Cheryl. Still though lovely and sharp and a clean perch and detailed trunk with the lichens.

Thanks all.

Not sure Richard, whites don't look blown on my laptop and the histogram was not off the rhs. I agree it is slightly red, but I think that is accentuated by the reddy-brown background. The light was very variable, from bright sunshine to heavy snow in a matter of seconds and just for a fraction sometimes both together. I'll take another look at the others. It's quite a strange location the background depending on light appeared as everything from light grey, this red-brown through to a blue-green, so hard to know what is correct.

The other issue is that because these are from the D300s I have to process in NX2 which I am not used to, but I don't want to spend yet more money to get C1 v5.
