The ironic thing really is that this is actually a piece of the branch used to support the main trunk as a "perch". Without the snow it really is not very photogenic and in fact the squirrels never paused here on previous sessions. On the very last morning though with snow one squirrel posed like this and I thought that looks quite good, but only really in portrait mode as otherwise you would see the trunk of the standing tree on which this is propped.
