Am I the only one to see Christ on the cross?

Fab work as ever Cheryl, but this has a conceptual twist to it I think. Perhaps its the crop that adds to this. Either way - superb!

I see what you mean about the subject being akin to Christ on the Cross. I think what attracted me to the composition though was the inclination of the head, but maybe in my deep subconscious that is aligned to your theory. That would be quite profound given I am an atheist.

This is not quite the shot I was after. The image I wanted was with the tail spread. I did have one brilliant opportunity, but the bird was too low or I had too much lens, take your pick!

It's the tilt of the head and the tail position that make me think of the christ analogy. The tail closed reminds me of the icons feet crossed, and the tilt of the head reminds me of the sagged head on most crucifixion icons that I have seen.
