Buy an 800mm lens and walk about across all terrain for hours on end, boy that keeps you fit...lol
I love the low angle on this it really gives it that appeal.
Pin Sharp and a terrific capture

Like this Dan, my one crit would be (and maybe it was deliberate) but because of her arm position being her right arm across chest she is made to look like she is looking out of frame. I just wonder how it would look iof it were her other arm.

I feel it would have more contact with the viewer then. That could be b******cks but it is just how it appears to me on viewing the image.

Thanks for the clicks and comments folks ...

Cheryl

I think thats fair comment. I did shoot some more 'connected' images but I think the sense of isolation and the 'lost in her thoughts' look worked better.

That said I shot some sprint shots here too which worked well and then shot some night sports shots with another model so it's work in progress.

I am back shooting a similar set again next week so will try to get some more intense images as part of that shoot Smile

cool - saw a video on youtube showing how to do this and was thinking of getting dave to run tonight!!!

was it...

get the bird in the place you want the shot, set up lights, pre-focus manually, then get her to run into the scene - when she hits the spot, click the shutter?

nice work

Thanks for the clicks and comments.

Ade - Focus tracked her though a series of shots, battery packs to give a quick enough recycle to fire a few shots with flash at different stages as the output on the flash is kept down a touch.

What an excellent set-up Dan. And great execution. the light set up really makes a difference here, and the pov works a threat. good 'pose' as well. As if the camera isn't there at all.
