A great set of images. Panther was a great brand and included the iconic De Ville with only around 60 built and predominantly Jaguar based with the V12 power unit.

Sisters

Sisters by Doffy

A lovely portrait and I agree with Iain about the flash.

My main comment would be in connection with the focus. The stitching on the right jacket is pin sharp, whereas the eyes look slightly blurred and should have the focus. This is personal choice, but I always use the centre focus point for portraits and use the eyes as the target. Allowing the camera to choose which point is used can sometimes be hit and miss and this is the risk when using full auto.

Another downside of auto, is that the camera will choose a shutter / aperture combination and I see this shot is taken at 1/60th. The flash will freeze the action however, the relatively slow shutter speed could create blur with the ambient light and you need a steady hand to ensure sharpness.

Personally, I would use manual, as this gives much greater control.

The quality of these images is just superb. I've tried taking pics of birds in flight but failed miserably to obtain sharp focus. Very jealous!!

There is a lovely style to your portraiture work with great use of colour. Excellent work throughout. Which setting you you prefer on the 5D, i.e. neutral, faithful etc?

Thanks Tom, it all seems a bit confusing at the moment. How do you get your own logo next to your comment??

Tom
Thanks for the warm welcome. I only got the internet yesterday and a friend suggested I post some photos on the site which he uses. Therefore I'm a bit of a novice at this and encouragement is always great to receive. You have some really great work here.
