This shot was taken a few years ago when waxwings descended on the UK and ate berries prolifically from rowan trees starting in Scotland and progressing right down to the South of England. This tree is situated right next to the entrance to our church building. In hindsight I think I should have chosen a faster shutter speed but I must have focused on the bird's eye as that has come out sharp. The Sigma 120-400 lens that I had was noted for producing soft shots at the far end of the range. Here's hoping for a cold blast so that these waxwings return. David

A great image of this waxwing David !!
I used to have some that loved the cherries on my cherry tree.
I got rid of the tree, but I miss the waxwings.

Good one, David. Quite acceptable, it seems sharp to me. The waxwing must have added to his weight, with all these ripe berries to gorge on!
Lovely colourful image
